London jewellery house founded in 1960, known for rare diamonds, high jewellery and the New Bond Street flagship.
Graff begins in 1960, when Laurence Graff opens the jewellery house in London. The house buys, cuts and sets rare diamonds: the stone does not arrive ready to receive a name. On New Bond Street, at 17 Place Vendôme and on Madison Avenue the window reads the same criterion — colour, cut, size — before any entry collection. Since 1960 the Graff family has kept the house. That line — the diamond, the cutting, the street address — weighs more than any campaign for a pavé watch.
Exceptional diamonds are the centre: stones the house treats as a unique object, not as stock. High jewellery builds necklace, bracelet and tiara around that stone. Graff watches take the same logic to the wrist. A regular line exists, but it does not describe the house: whoever enters the boutique reads the gem first, then the metal.
The London flagship occupies 6-8 New Bond Street. In Paris the house is at 17 Place Vendôme and at 237 Rue Saint-Honoré. In New York the street address is 710 Madison Avenue. In Stellenbosch, Delaire Graff Estate holds vineyard, hotel and boutique on Helshoogte Pass. Output of an archive stone is short; the queue for a collection ring does not describe the whole catalogue.
The focus on exceptional stones, in-house cutting and the selective boutique network hold the score at the jewellery ceiling.
Stones the house buys, cuts and sets: the diamond does not enter the window as a generic good.
Necklaces, bracelets and tiaras in which the centre stone dictates the drawing, not the other way around.
High-jewellery cases on the wrist: the watch follows the stone, not a volume line.
